Polymarket Becomes the ATP Tour's Official Prediction Market Provider — With Sportradar Supplying Integrity Monitoring

Polymarket has signed a deal with Tennis Data Innovations, the joint venture between the ATP Tour and ATP Media Holdings, to become the tour's official prediction market provider. The agreement covers approximately 20,000 matches per season across the ATP Tour and ATP Challenger Tour, with official live data and odds supplied by Sportradar — which will also provide integrity monitoring services. US users will get integrated live streaming alongside real-time prediction market contracts. It is Polymarket's second major data and streaming partnership in two days, following the Genius Sports deal on August 5.

Polymarket has agreed a partnership with Tennis Data Innovations (TDI) — the joint venture between the ATP Tour and ATP Media Holdings that manages official data and streaming rights for professional tennis — making Polymarket the official prediction market provider of the ATP Tour. Under the deal, US-registered Polymarket users will have access to live broadcasts of ATP Tour and ATP Challenger Tour matches integrated directly with trading markets. Official live data and odds will be supplied by Sportradar, TDI's exclusive distribution partner, which will also provide integrity monitoring services for the markets. The agreement covers approximately 20,000 matches per season, spanning the full professional circuit from high-profile Masters events including Indian Wells, the Miami Open, and the Cincinnati Open through to the Nitto ATP Finals and the ATP Challenger Tour. 'By combining live ATP streaming with official data and prediction markets in one place, we're creating a more dynamic product allowing fans to experience and trade on markets relating to the game as it unfolds,' said Ari Borod, Polymarket's President of Sports Business Development.

The Sportradar component is the most significant structural element. Sportradar is the world's largest sports data company and the dominant commercial data provider for professional tennis globally — its integrity services arm already monitors ATP Tour matches for irregular betting patterns on behalf of the tour and the Tennis Integrity Unit, which was established specifically to combat match-fixing in professional tennis. Having Sportradar supply integrity monitoring for Polymarket's ATP markets means the same company that monitors the betting market anomalies detected by traditional sportsbooks will now do the same for prediction market activity. That closes a gap the Group of Copenhagen's World Cup report identified as a structural problem: prediction markets operating without access to the integrity information-sharing infrastructure that governs traditional regulated betting. For the ATP Challenger circuit in particular — where match-fixing concerns have historically been highest, given lower prize money and weaker oversight — real-time Sportradar monitoring is a meaningful safeguard.

The deal is the second major official data and streaming partnership Polymarket has announced in two days. On August 5, Polymarket confirmed a partnership with Genius Sports covering exclusive streaming rights for Serie A and dozens of other competitions, with Genius Sports providing official data for contract settlement and integrity information-sharing with leagues. The ATP Tour deal follows an identical template: official data for settlement, official streaming for the watch-and-trade product, and integrity monitoring integrated at the data provider level. The consistency of the template across two separate partnerships in 48 hours, alongside the New York Yankees sponsorship announced the same day as the ATP deal, points to a coordinated institutional rollout rather than individual one-off agreements. Polymarket is moving through sport-by-sport and property-by-property, acquiring official data rights and the legitimacy that comes with them.

The product implication is the same as the Genius Sports deal, now extended to tennis: a US user can watch a match at Indian Wells, a Masters 1000 event, and simultaneously trade contracts on set result, match winner, or in-play outcomes without switching applications. Twenty thousand matches per season — the full ATP and Challenger circuit — is a substantially larger content library than any US sportsbook offers via integrated streaming. Sportsbooks typically license premium matches and broadcast a fraction of what Polymarket will now have access to through TDI. The Challenger Tour in particular, which has historically been difficult for fans to follow given limited broadcast coverage, becomes accessible through a platform that generates revenue from trading volume rather than subscription or carriage fees. Whether that depth of coverage on lower-profile events increases or decreases integrity risk — more users watching means more market depth, but more market depth on thin-prize-money events is exactly where the Tennis Integrity Unit focuses — is a question Sportradar's monitoring will now have to answer in real time.

Kalshi Suspends Congressional Candidate for Trading on Own Race — Senate Already Banned Members

Kalshi disclosed on August 31 that it suspended North Carolina congressional candidate Laurie Buckhout for three years and fined her $2,589 for trading on her own race — the first publicly known enforcement action against a candidate for prediction market insider trading. Kalshi said it found multiple politicians trading on races they were involved in, including former Congressman George Santos. The Senate had unanimously banned its members and staffers from prediction market trading on April 30. CNN published a major feature on September 24 documenting election officials' concerns about disinformation and insider trading risk from prediction markets as the midterms approach.

Pew Research: Prediction Market Volume Doubled May-July, Sports Now Largest Category

A Pew Research Center analysis published September 23 found that combined monthly trading volume on Kalshi and Polymarket more than doubled from May to July 2026 — rising from $26 billion in May to $53 billion in July — driven primarily by sports contracts. Sports is now the largest trading category on both platforms. During the FIFA World Cup in June and July, Kalshi's monthly sports volume reached $58 billion. Over the same period, Americans wagered roughly $40 billion at licensed sportsbooks — suggesting prediction market sports volume has approached or exceeded licensed sports betting in dollar terms.

Democrats Now 60% Senate, 90% House Favorites on Prediction Markets — Biggest Shift Since 2024

Prediction markets on Kalshi and Polymarket have moved decisively toward Democratic control of both congressional chambers in the 2026 midterms. Democrats are priced at approximately 60% to win Senate control (Republicans 40%) and roughly 90% to win House control as of September 21. Republicans had been at 80%+ in Senate control markets when the market opened in November 2024. The shift began in February 2026 following the Iran war and has accelerated through fall as rising gas prices pushed Trump's approval ratings lower. More than 500 active midterm markets are live across Kalshi and Polymarket combined.
