How to Fund
Your Polymarket Account
Polymarket QCEX (the US-licensed platform) accepts three deposit methods: ACH bank transfer (free, instant trading), debit card (instant, small fee), and USDC from a crypto wallet (instant). Unlike the global Polymarket, US users on QCEX don't need MetaMask: the platform handles USD ↔ USDC conversion automatically. This guide covers every method, timing, fees, and common issues.

How to deposit on Polymarket QCEX
- 1 Create or log in to your Polymarket QCEX account
Go to polymarket.com. New users: complete the signup: email, phone verification, and KYC (government-issued photo ID required for the US QCEX platform). New York residents are currently on a waitlist. Existing users log in normally.
- 2 Navigate to Deposit
Click your balance or avatar in the top right → Portfolio → Deposit. Or look for an "Add funds" or "Deposit" button on the Portfolio page. You'll see the available funding methods.
- 3 ACH bank transfer — link your bank
Choose ACH. You can link via Plaid (enter your online banking credentials for instant verification) or manually via routing + account number (may require 1–2 day micro-deposit verification). Once linked, enter your deposit amount and confirm. Funds are tradeable almost immediately while the bank transfer settles in 3–5 business days.
- 4 Debit card — instant funding
Choose debit card. Enter your Visa or Mastercard debit card details. Deposit appears instantly in your Polymarket balance. A processing fee (typically 1–3%) applies. Prepaid cards may be declined.
- 5 USDC from a crypto wallet
Choose crypto / wallet deposit. Polymarket QCEX uses the Base network (Ethereum L2). Send USDC to your Polymarket deposit address on Base: not Ethereum mainnet, not Polygon. If you have USDC on a different chain, you'll need to bridge it to Base first. Gas fees on Base are very low (~$0.01).
- 6 Confirm and start trading
After deposit confirmation, check your Polymarket balance in Portfolio. Navigate to any open market in Explore, choose Yes or No on an event, enter your amount, and confirm. Your position will appear in Portfolio.
Polymarket QCEX for non-crypto US users
US QCEX users don't need MetaMask or crypto. The global Polymarket platform requires a crypto wallet and USDC. The US QCEX version has an integrated fiat on-ramp: you deposit USD via bank or card, and Polymarket handles USDC conversion on the Base network automatically. You never need to touch a crypto wallet.
Withdrawals work the same way in reverse: Polymarket converts your USDC back to USD and sends it to your linked bank via ACH. The crypto infrastructure runs in the background invisibly for QCEX users.
